Songs of the Redeemed is the music outreach ministry at San Jose Christian Assembly. Started in November 2007, SotR hopes to use music as a tool to reach the community and share the good news with everyone.

Members’ bio:

Josh Supelana – Bass, Vocals: Josh is studying for a career in nursing and occupational therapy. He has served as guitarist and bassist on the church worship team, and also studies jazz guitar in his own time. He has a deep love for fried pork skin, but a much deeper love for serving the Lord.

James Bruno – Drums, Vocals, Guitar: James is a 3rd year graphics design major student at San Jose State University. He is a self-taught vocalist, drummer and guitarist who also happens to speak Japanese and Russian. He is currently learning Mandarin Chinese. James hopes to be able to help people be excited about worship and praising the Lord. 很好.

Arthur Cheng – Lead Guitar: Arthur is a 3rd year student studying environmental science at San Jose State University. He specializes in KPOP dance and playing electric guitar. Rumor has it that he dreams in pentatonic minor scale.

Johnathan Hsu – Vocals, Piano, Keyboard: Johnathan just finished his second year at San Jose State University as a music education major, and is also an excellent tuba player. He is the music director for the youth orchestra at a community church, and has taught keyboard playing at worship seminars. He also has a deep love for fried pork skin.

Jason Wu – Vocals, Rhythm Guitar: Jason graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, but was called by the Lord to serve fulltime in 2008. Jason has a passion for seeing the next generation rise up to take their place in God’s kingdom. He hopes to usher in the presence of God and provide deeper experiences with the Lord through worship. The father of two and husband of one, he has taken steps to make sure that if he is called home early by the Lord, each person in his family will have at least one guitar to remember him by.
